Looking for a sales driven individual who can manage their sales trailer. Are you a self-motivated, self-starter, who excels in customer service and sales? BCI background is required. $25 hr non-CDL -- $27 hr CDL-A license. As a Safety Shoe Driver, this position is responsible for working as a part of the retail sales team and ensuring that customer appointments are kept in a customer friendly, timely, and efficient manner. The position includes driving a 30,000 lbs.+ truck/trailer to various customer locations and processing the sale of safety shoes and misc. items. This role is responsible for ordering, tracking and maintaining the appropriate footwear in preparation of providing the appropriate items to customers. Responsibility will include setup and teardown as necessary and to work a variety of hours that coordinate with the customer's shift schedule. Learning and understanding how to run a register, take orders, NetSuite (a plus), Outlook and other technical devices are also a requirement of this role as well as other duties that make this role successful. Required Education and Experience 1. CDL Class A preferred but company will pay for CDL school for right candidate 2. Currently possess or have the ability to obtain a 1-year DOT medical card. 3. Customer service experience and attitude. 4. At least a high school diploma or GED. 5. Ability to drive long hours with frequent stops to exit and re-enter a vehicle. Competencies 1. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions. The employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate while in the warehouse, or moderately loud when on the road. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand long periods of time. The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, equipment, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to enter and exit a vehicle. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and frequently 70 pounds or less. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Travel Offsite approximately 90%, which includes travel and idle time. Some overtime required for out-of-town boot trailer sales appointments. Preferred Education and Experience 1. Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, etc.). 2. Experience with Microsoft Office products. 3. No more than 1 accident or 1 moving violation.
