Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial trucks within local routes to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated areas. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, a commitment to safety, and experience handling various types of cargo, including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and more. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across local delivery routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity. Handle a variety of cargo types including refrigerated items, flatbed loads, tankers, and freight requiring special handling. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Manage route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining high safety standards. Load, secure, and unload freight accurately to prevent damage or loss during transit. Maintain detailed records of deliveries, mileage logs, and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times and resolve any issues promptly. Requirements Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in commercial driving, including truck driving with manual transmission vehicles. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is preferred. Prior experience in load & unload operations and route driving within local areas. Ability to handle freight securely using equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Strong knowledge of safety procedures related to trucking and cargo handling. Excellent physical stamina for loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
