is a non-profit equal opportunity employer looking for dependable applicants for a part time Transportation Driver to transport our individuals in accordance with the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, Department of Transportation and the Wasco, Inc. Transportation Policy. Drivers are responsible for transporting adults to and from program facilities and on related excursions under general supervision of the CEO or Job requirements include, but are not limited to; perform a pre-trip inspection on vehicle prior to route; properly secures wheelchairs and passengers; prepares and maintains records and reports, as required; reports accidents/incidents to the CEO; maintains courteous and professional relationship with passengers, parents and guardians, and general public. Must possess high school diploma or G.E.D.; a minimum of 2 years driving experience; must hold current certification of adult CPR and emergency first aid, (training available through WASCO Inc); must satisfactorily complete a required criminal background investigation and a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening test and DOT Physical Exam; experience working with and/or in transporting persons with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities a plus; must be able to lift forty (40) pounds unassisted and must be physically capable of lifting, carrying and moving enrollees, in a safe manner according to in-service training; must demonstrate the ability to cope with stressful situations.
