Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, to deliver freight efficiently and reliably. Your expertise will ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on diverse routes, including OTR driving routes, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. Transport refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized freight such as hazardous materials or dangerous goods, adhering strictly to safety protocols. Utilize GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor traffic conditions, and make real-time adjustments for efficient delivery schedules. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle logs in accordance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with hazardous materials regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route status, delays, or issues encountered during deliveries. Skills Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record and experience in commercial truck driving. Proficiency in operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment such as hazardous materials containers. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery execution. Ability to load and unload freight manually or using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety procedures. Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and manual handling techniques for logistics cargo handling. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service excellence.
