This is a hands-on driving position. The driver is responsible for safely loading, securing, transporting, and unloading customer-owned equipment while maintaining accurate documentation and professional communication. Our drivers represent TPM Transport directly to dealerships, businesses, and individual customers, so attention to detail and customer service are essential. Key Responsibilities Complete regional and over-the-road pickup and delivery routes Safely load and unload motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, trikes, and related equipment Properly position and secure each unit using straps, wheel chocks, E-track, winches, and other provided equipment Inspect units carefully and document their condition before pickup and at delivery Use Super Dispatch to accept loads, update statuses, upload photographs, record notes, and obtain signatures Communicate proactively with dispatch, management, dealerships, and customers regarding ETAs, delays, schedule changes, and delivery issues Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with DOT, FMCSA, hours-of-service, and company safety requirements Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical or equipment concerns promptly Keep the assigned truck, trailer, tools, and equipment clean and organized Assist with minor troubleshooting involving dead batteries, non-running units, or difficult loading situations Protect every unit from damage and immediately report any incident or concern Follow assigned routes while safely adapting to weather, traffic, customer availability, and changing conditions Travel and Schedule Expectations Regular overnight and multi-day travel is required Routes may involve extended travel throughout the United States Schedule and home time will vary based on workload and route requirements Some early mornings, evenings, weekends, and schedule changes should be expected Drivers must remain within all applicable hours-of-service limitations Qualifications Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card Previous commercial driving, towing, automotive transport, or powersports experience preferred Experience operating a pickup truck with a large enclosed or gooseneck trailer preferred CDL is a plus but is not required unless specified for the assigned equipment Familiarity with motorcycles and powersports equipment is strongly preferred Ability to use a smartphone and transportation applications reliably Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills Ability to work independently and make responsible decisions on the road Must be dependable, professional, and attentive to detail Must satisfy company insurance, background screening, and drug-testing requirements Physical Requirements Ability to safely maneuver motorcycles and other powersports units during loading and unloading Ability to climb into trailers, bend, kneel, reach, and work in confined spaces Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other changing weather conditions Ability to secure loads repeatedly using straps, tie-downs, ramps, and related equipment What We're Looking For The ideal candidate takes pride in protecting customer property, communicates before problems develop, and treats the truck and trailer as their own. Powersports knowledge is valuable, but character, dependability, communication, and willingness to learn are equally important.
