Job Description
Company Description Group IV Expediting is a Veteran-owned transportation company based in Toledo, Ohio, specializing in reliable, fast, and efficient commercial shipping using a fleet of cargo vans. We focus on customer satisfaction, offering a one-hour pickup time and competitive prices to ensure smooth deliveries. Additionally, we provide hourly routes for regularly scheduled loads. Serving some of the top manufacturing companies in the nation, we hold 48 state authorities. Role Description This is an on-site contract role based in Middletown, OH for an Independent Contractor. The Independent Contractor will be responsible for executing daily shipping tasks, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries, and maintaining clear communication with customers. The role requires adherence to schedules, efficient loading and unloading of cargo, and meticulous record-keeping. This role is a route scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays with high-possibility of developing into a Monday - Friday schedule. You are guaranteed to have weekends and major holidays off. On top of the route we desire a candidate who can deliver the occasional expedite when the route is finished. Qualifications Access to a full-sized cargo van Ability to work Tuesday and Thursday (Required) Monday - Friday (Preferred) Strong time management and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work independently and reliably Valid driver's license and clean driving record Previous experience in a similar role is a plus Experience in transportation, delivery, or logistics is a plus Compensation The route pays $30.00 an hour and expedites pay $1.00 per mile The salary will also include a fuel surcharge which varies based on route and expedite
