Job Summary Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience driving a manual transmission, top heavy equipment, and flatbeds. As a driver, you will also play a vital role in the extraction process, utilizing various tools and equipment to extract and process cable. This position requires heavy lifting and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. We work in all weather conditions. This role involves extra safety while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Operate a Chopper truck and Class B flatbed. Operating heavy equipment. Participate in extracting telephone cable from underground and aerial. Performing traffic control; setting out cones and signs daily at each job location. Utilize forklifts for the movement of materials within the warehouse and manufacturing facility. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise, reporting any significant problems to supervisors. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record. Must be at least 21 for insurance purposes. A clean background is preferred. Experience with manual transmission vehicles. Familiarity with flatbeds, top heavy vehicles, tankers, and various freight types is advantageous. Ability to operate forklifts and other loading equipment as needed or willing to learn. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role. Must be able to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
