LOCAL CDL A DRIVER

to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating manual commercial trucks equipped with van trailers, flatbeds, roll off containers and box trucks. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics operation that values professionalism, reliability, and efficiency. Hours are Monday-Friday 7am to 4pm(depending on the schedule) and occasional Saturdays 1 week paid vacation after first year of employment. Medical, vision and dental available after 60 days. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on local routes, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) standards. Load, secure, transport, and unload freight with precision, including roll offs. Use GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes and ensure timely deliveries while complying with route driving protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking load security, and mechanical condition. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Follow all safety procedures related to manual handling, truck loading/unloading, regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers equipped with roll off trailers and van trailers or flatbeds. Ability to navigate using GPS systems accurately for efficient route planning on over-the-road (OTR) routes within local areas. Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload operations involving freight or logistics cargo handling. From $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
