Perry County Transit is seeking dependable, safety-focused individuals to join our team as Public Transportation Drivers. Position Overview Drivers are responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from scheduled destinations while providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive rider experience. Key Responsibilities Safely operate a transit vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws and agency policies Provide courteous and professional service to all passengers Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle as needed Maintain accurate trip logs and required documentation Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding schedules, delays, or concerns Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings or afternoons Experience in transportation or customer service preferred, but not required Why Join Perry County Transit?
