Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles across designated local routes, ensuring on-time deliveries Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and meet delivery schedules Handle logistics cargo with precision, including hazardous materials and dangerous goods when qualified and compliant with FMCSA and hazardous materials regulations Comply strictly with DOT (Department of Transportation), FMCSA, and other regulatory requirements governing commercial truck driving and cargo handling Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly Maintain accurate documentation for deliveries, pickups, load and unload activities, and compliance logs Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers is essential Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving in local settings Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and different trailer types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Ability to handle freight safely through manual handling techniques; experience with forklift operation is a plus Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for commercial trucking Excellent navigation skills using GPS systems; ability to plan efficient routes under time constraints Physical ability to load/unload cargo manually or with equipment; capable of lifting heavy items safely Good communication skills to coordinate with dispatch teams and handle documentation accurately Embark on a rewarding career where your driving skills make a real impact!
