Job Description

Fresh2U Transportation was founded in 2015 as a means of transportation for horticulture products for its sister companies, Green Circle Growers and Express Seed Company, as well as the public. From there, Fresh2U Transportation saw a need to create a logistics team and therefore Fresh2U Logistics began operations in 2018. Fresh2U Logistics operates as an authorized broker of property by planning how goods will get from one place to another within the horticulture industry.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Yard Spotter is responsible for moving trailers between staging areas and multiple greenhouses at Green Circle Growers. This role works cross functionally to ensure the smooth transportation of product to be shipped.
JOB DUTIES
Safely and efficiently move trailers between staging areas and greenhouses Maintain organization and ensure smooth traffic flow within the yard Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment used for moving trailers Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate trailer movements Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Valid Class A CDL license 1+ year(s) of verifiable driving experience Ability to work weekends as well as overtime as needed Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Proven initiative and responsibility demonstrated through prior work experience Team player with a positive attitude
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT & REQUIREMENTS
Plant/Production facility, often outside; Possible extreme heat/cold dependent on season Continuously requires ability to follow verbal and/or written direction Frequently requires walking, lifting (up to 50lbs), carrying, reaching, kneeling, pushing/pulling (up to 200lbs), bending, and crouching Often requires sitting, standing, fine dexterity, climbing, and handling Requires ability to operate machinery, drive vehicles (truck), or use equipment such as hand tools, computers, or general business equipment
