Job Description

Job Summary The CDL Dump Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport construction materials, aggregates, asphalt, soil, and debris to and from construction sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and experience working in the construction industry. This position plays a critical role in supporting project operations by ensuring timely and efficient material delivery. Key Responsibilities Safely operate CDL Class A or Class B dump trucks in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Transport construction materials including gravel, sand, stone, dirt, and demolition debris. Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections. Maintain accurate driver E logs, inspection reports, and delivery tickets. Load and unload materials safely and efficiently at designated locations. Ensure proper weight distribution and compliance with legal load limits. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, project managers, and field personnel regarding delivery schedules and job site conditions. Report vehicle maintenance issues, accidents, or safety concerns immediately. Assist with general labor duties when required and approved by management. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned vehicles. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations. Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or Class B license with current Medical Examiner's Certificate. Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements. Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred. Previous dump truck or construction hauling experience preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices. Ability to operate manual transmissions and various truck configurations. Strong communication and time-management skills. Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented. Preferred Skills Experience hauling aggregates, asphalt, or construction materials. Knowledge of local roadways and construction site operations. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as loaders or skid steers is a plus. OSHA 10 certification preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to climb in and out of trucks multiple times per day. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Benefits Competitive hourly pay with overtime opportunities.
