Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Equipment Hauler to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and construction materials to and from job sites. The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial vehicles, loading and securing equipment, and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations. This position requires strong attention to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities Safely operate CDL Class A commercial trucks and trailers to transport heavy equipment and machinery. Load, unload, and properly secure equipment using chains, binders, straps, and other approved tie-down methods. Conduct pre-trips, in-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and trailers. Ensure all loads comply with federal, state, and local transportation regulations. Maintain accurate driver electronic logs, inspection reports. Coordinate with dispatchers, site foreman, and job site personnel regarding delivery schedules. Perform routine maintenance checks and report any vehicle or equipment issues via Workmax app on employee's cell phone. Assist with equipment operation during loading and unloading as needed. Follow all company safety policies and DOT requirements. Qualifications Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred. Experience hauling heavy equipment, construction machinery, or oversized loads preferred. Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirements. Ability to operate dozers, skid steers, excavators, or other heavy equipment is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and weekends. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to climb into and out of equipment on trailer, bend, stoop, and secure loads in various weather conditions. Must be able to sit for extended periods while driving. Benefits Competitive pay.
