A Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver drives large commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, or big rigs. Responsibilities typically include transporting cargo across long distances, sometimes over the course of multiple days. They may work for trucking companies, freight carriers, logistics, or shipping companies.
Starting wage is $20/hour! Wages negotiable based on experience. Non-CDL Drivers at Famous Supply make deliveries to customer shops and/or job sites using a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate. Each morning, the driver's route for the day is uploaded onto a company-provided Smartphone that navigates the driver to each stop. Drivers are responsible for assisting with the loading of their truck and reviewing orders prior to delivery to ensure accuracy. Driver associates assist in the warehouse when needed.
