Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Commercial Driver's License (CDL) In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles to transport freight efficiently and securely across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving. Your expertise in handling flatbed will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. We are looking for part time but could very easily become full time . Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and commercial trucks on OTR routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Load, secure, transport Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor traffic conditions, and ensure on-time deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to verify safety standards, including checking load security, tire pressure, brakes, lights, and fluid levels. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in accordance with regulatory requirements. Assist with manual handling tasks during load & unload operations while following safety protocols for hazardous or dangerous goods. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any route or cargo issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods. Skilled in operating various types of trailers including flatbeds . Proficient in route planning using GPS navigation tools for efficient delivery routes across diverse terrains. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks with manual handling skills for loading/unloading freight safely. Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance during long-haul or local deliveries. Familiarity with logistics cargo handling procedures for freight loading/unloading and securing loads properly.
