Job Description

Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma/GED preferred Valid CDL required. One to two (1-2) years of commercial driving experience preferred Three (3) months of on-the-job training required Qualifications Possess and maintain a commercial driver's license (CDL) and state-certified driving history record free of violations DOT-required satisfactory driving record(s) from previous employment, if applicable Possess and maintain MSHA training at all sites Ability to follow safety rules and procedures set forth by the DOT/FMCSA and JENNMAR Holdings, LLC Dependability to be consistently at work and on time Functional listening, verbal and written communications skills to personnel and customer(s) Team mentality with a quality assurance, safety-oriented mindset Total visual field and multiple limb coordination Responsibilities Conducts a pre-trip and en route walk-around vehicle inspection, noting and reporting any deficiencies to ensure that the vehicle is properly fueled and roadworthy throughout all phases of the delivery process Completes logbook entries and all other required paperwork Comprehends and acts on instructions from dispatcher, including safely loading and securing products for transport. Identifies and follows the best travel route, taking into account weather conditions, road restrictions, and points of congestion Monitors and inspects the vehicle load frequently to ensure compliance with regulatory securement standards Operates the vehicle safely in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations throughout all phases of the delivery process Maintains customer satisfaction standards through efficient, courteous, and service-oriented communication throughout all phases of the delivery process. Performs preventive maintenance and light/medium duty repairs. Cleans and maintains a safe tri-axle tractor-trailer. Keeps accurate records on equipment. Assist with needs of the Shipping Department during downtime. Benefits The company provides a range of employee benefits.
