Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision. In this role, you will operate straight box trucks, tractor-trailers to transport general goods, materials, and other freight safely and efficiently. Your expertise in local - city and over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, route planning using GPS navigation, and truck loading and unloading will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, across long-distance OTR routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan routes effectively using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper securing of cargo such as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, or specialty freight like automobile transportation Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure compliance with safety standards and vehicle maintenance needs Manage documentation related to freight delivery, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logs in accordance with FMCSA regulations Maintain a clean driving record by practicing safe driving habits and adhering to hazardous materials regulations when transporting dangerous goods Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery schedules, or any issues encountered during transit Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving over short and long distances Familiarity with flatbed trucks, tankers, tractor-trailers, and straight box trucks Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods transportation Experience in truck loading/unloading processes and manual handling of logistics cargo handling tasks Ability to operate GPS navigation systems effectively for route planning on over-the-road (OTR) routes Prior experience with freight transportation involving hazardous or sensitive materials is a plus Embark on a career that combines adventure with responsibility!
