3007326983-2 Apply for this job now Job Description Dollar General seeks a dependable CDL A Truck Driver to support our Transportation & Logistics operations. You will safely operate and maintain tractors/trailers, complete regional routes, and ensure timely store and distribution center deliveries. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, cargo securement, ELD use, and strict DOT, FMCSA, and company safety compliance. Collaborate with dispatch and logistics teams, maintain accurate logs, and provide professional customer service at delivery points. Responsibilities Operate CDL A tractor trailer on regional routes to deliver freight safely and on time Perform thorough pre trip and post trip inspections of tractor and trailer Ensure proper loading, unloading, and securement of freight to prevent damage Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety and hours of service regulations Accurately maintain electronic logs and required delivery documentation Communicate effectively with dispatch, logistics, and store personnel Report equipment issues promptly and coordinate basic maintenance as needed Adhere to designated routes while adjusting safely to traffic and weather conditions Provide professional, courteous service at distribution centers and stores Support a culture of safety, reliability, and continuous improvement Required Skills CDL Class A tractor trailer operation Defensive and safe driving practices DOT and FMCSA regulations compliance Hours of Service and ELD use Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Freight loading and securement Route planning and time management Logbook and documentation accuracy Communication with dispatch and customers Use of GPS and in cab technology
