The Vacuum Truck Operator will work with the Vacuum Truck Services team to provide exceptional service to our clients. Services provided include (but are not limited to): hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading and hauling of various fluids/ material. The chosen individual will perform this diverse range of activities with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork. Roll-off and Hydrovac experience a plus. Currently, this position requires moderate out-of-state travel, and contingent upon project requirements. Please be advised that this position requires a willingness to travel. Provide exceptional service to clients, professionally representing GFL, and maintain detailed, accurate company documentation. Complete daily equipment pre-trips, driver logs for NSC compliance, and participate in safety programs like meetings, near miss reporting, and job hazard assessments. Work independently, manage time and productivity efficiently, and communicate effectively. What's required: Valid CDL A and 1+ years of industrial vacuum truck/tanker experience. Tanker and Hazmat Endorsements required. Willingness to accept after-hour calls when necessary, with some short-term travel and overnight stays required. Valid safety tickets such as First Aid/CPR, Construction Safety Training (CSTS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), and H2S Alive are considered assets.
