Full-Time Onsite Ready Mix Stillwater is seeking responsible, dependable, and safety-minded Mixer Truck Drivers to join our growing team. The Mixer Truck Driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering ready-mix concrete to specified job sites while providing professional customer service and maintaining the truck and equipment. We are looking for employees with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and desire to help make the business better as it grows. Experience is preferred, but we are willing to train qualified applicants through our hands-on mixer driver training program. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Deliver ready-mix concrete to customer job sites according to specified requirements after determining that the delivery is safe and possible. Communicate truck and job status with dispatch in a professional manner and maintain good public relations with customers, contractors, and coworkers. Safely maneuver trucks into loading and unloading positions, following signals from loading crews and ensuring the truck and loading equipment are properly positioned. Load and unload concrete and operate the mixer and chute as needed to assist with concrete placement and pouring. Read and interpret maps and use phone mapping applications to determine appropriate vehicle routes. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections within the allotted time to ensure safe operation of the truck and mixer. Check vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicle promptly. Complete required washout procedures during and at the end of each workday. Clean the mixer truck after deliveries to prevent concrete from hardening in the mixer and on the truck. Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the truck and equipment. Ensure all safety, compliance, environmental, and DOT requirements are followed at all times. Properly follow company policies and
OSHA/MSHA
regulations for safe working procedures and maintain a safe working environment. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas. Perform other duties related to mixer truck operation, concrete delivery, and job-site support as assigned. Required Qualifications Valid CDL Class A or Class B . At least 21 years of age Clean driving record; no more than 4 points . Ability to pass DOT drug screening and physical requirements. Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DOT qualification. Must be willing and able to work overtime when needed, including some Saturdays. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and able to work with limited direct supervision. Strong communication and customer-service skills. Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be willing to participate in required drug testing, including testing for marijuana. Physical Requirements This is an active, hands-on construction position. Candidates must be physically capable of: Lifting, pushing, and pulling 50 pounds on a routine basis. Lifting and operating mixer chutes. Climbing ladders and stairs. Sitting, standing, kneeling, crawling, bending, and walking on uneven surfaces. Reaching, pushing, pulling, and using handheld tools. Working overhead when necessary. Washing and cleaning the mixer truck daily. Remaining alert and attentive while operating a commercial vehicle. Communicating verbally with dispatch, plant operations, customers, and other drivers using radio and other communication equipment.
