Job Description

We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our supply chain logistics department in a safe and timely manner. Responsibilities Transport finished goods and back hauled raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or distribution centers Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance Plan routes and meet delivery schedules Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven 3 year work experience as a truck driver Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (ELD) Ability to drive long hours, travel regularly and be out for days (not weeks) at a time Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license Nature of the work Based in Seminole county Home some weeknights, home almost every weekend Loads our loaded by our warehouse team Load schedule communicated weekly Modern and reliable lease vehicles with clean sleep cabs Established and reliable routes are regional with the occasional multi state runs Paid per mile, per drop and hourly when detention is not anticipated Position is open and ready to be filled
