Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. In this energetic role, you will operate a box truck equipped with refrigeration and other specialized features, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in commercial driving, logistics cargo handling, and route navigation will be vital in providing exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills, manage freight loads, and contribute to a fast-paced transportation operation. Duties Safely operate box trucks, including refrigerated trailers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local deliveries. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transit. Navigate using GPS systems to follow optimized delivery routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Transport hazardous materials and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and safety protocols. Load, unload, and secure freight such as flatbed or tanker cargo, ensuring proper handling of specialty items like automobile transportation or other sensitive freight. Maintain accurate delivery logs, delivery documentation, and compliance records for each shipment. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery schedules and address any route or cargo issues promptly. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving with box trucks or tractor-trailers. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, or hazardous materials transportation is highly desirable. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred but not mandatory depending on the vehicle type. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazard communication standards, and safety procedures related to truck driving and cargo handling. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations.
