Local CDL Delivery Driver (Open)
Location:
Woodward, OK - Retail shop How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Starting on January 6th, 2020, the FMCSA will require all new CDL Driver Hires to register for the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse and have a full query run on their record for potential drug & alcohol violations as part of the pre-employment process.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned. Sells products and services to existing and new customers. Drives trucks to deliver gasses and hard goods to customer's places of business. Performs non-route delivery(s) necessary to provide customers with product. Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions on customer receipt. Writes customer orders and instructions to ensure order accuracy. Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery records. Calls on prospective customers to solicit new business. Prepares order forms. Informs regular customers of new products or services. Listens to and resolves service complaints. Issues sales promotion materials to customers. Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise. Loads and unloads cylinders to and from the delivery truck. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Cleans the inside of the truck. Performs routine maintenance checks on trucks. Complies with all company policies and meets DOT requirements. Assists inside the store with servicing customers at dock, front counter and over the phone. You'll be the primary point of contact for our customers, driving an established route to deliver compressed gas cylinders and related products. You'll handle customer orders, resolve service complaints, and build strong relationships.
Safety and Efficiency:
You'll safely and efficiently load, transport, and unload products from our company-provided straight or box truck, adhering to all DOT and company regulations.
Maintain Your Vehicle:
You'll perform routine maintenance checks and keep your truck clean, ensuring it is ready for your daily route. This role requires a high degree of physical capability and stamina to safely handle and deliver our products with routinely lifting 25-75 lbs and up to 125+lbs with the aid material handling equipment. You will be frequently bending and driving for up to 8 hours a day of hazardous cargo. ________________________ Are you a MATCH?
Required Qualifications :
Experience:
At least one full year of Class A or B CDL driving experience that is verifiable under DOT requirements in the past 5 years. Or a recent graduate from an accredited driving school. Exceptional customer service skills and a proactive attitude, is a plus.
Endorsements:
Class A or B CDL with a Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain your Hazmat upon contingency of offer.
Clean Record:
A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is essential and at least 21 years of age. This role requires a high degree of physical capability and stamina to safely handle and deliver our products with routinely lifting 25-75 lbs and up to 125+lbs with the aid material handling equipment. You will be frequently bending, walking, standing and driving for up to 8 hours a day of hazardous cargo.
