Job Description

Semi-Truck Driver - Boardman, OR

Company:

OPC - Boardman Job Summary This person drives gasoline or diesel-powered tractor trailers to transport and deliver raw product and other supplies or materials within weight and ODOT regulations, to and from designated areas, local routes no more than 100 air mile radius. Duties & Responsibilities Essential Follow Food Safety, Quality, Personal Safety, and any other Oregon Potato Company's Polices.

Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other team members and management.

Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion.

Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management.

Operate equipment in a safe efficient manner.

Have a valid CDL-Class A license and driving records that are acceptable to company insurer.

Loading, securing, transporting, delivering and unloading raw product or any other suppl or material to and from destinations.

Inspects powered truck and trailer in accordance to DOT regulations and company procedures

Prepares and maintains records in accordance of DOT regulations and company procedures

Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures, including utilizing proper PPE

Maintains compliance with all DOT requirements, including driver log

Assists with field maintenance, moving equipment, loading and unloading trucks

Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to yard and plant maintenance

Work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme hot or cold temperatures Additional Complete special projects as assigned.

Able to lift up to 80 lbs. repeatedly.

Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays

Must be able to work long harvest hours between the months of September and November.

Must be able to kneel, sit, and stand for long period of time.

Must be able lift, carry, and pull up to 75lbs Licenses, Permits, Certifications Required CDL - A Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Essential Must have a valid CDL-A

Good driving record

Minimum of 2 years of driving experience

Pass company drive test

Knowledge of semi-tractor and trailer equipment

Physically able to lift up to 80 pounds in all-weather conditions

Standing/Walking/Climbing

Ability to assess and initiate duties independently
