Job Description
Hood River Garbage, a Waste Connections company, is looking for a safety driven & motivated CDL Route Driver for our location in Hood River, Oregon . This is a local Monday - Friday route. Start time is 6:00 AM and runs until route is complete. Typically 10-11 hour days. The starting pay is $36.59/hr, with an increase to $37.87/hr after a 90-day positive review.

As a CDL Route Driver , you need to be reliable, safety-minded, and committed to providing exceptional customer service. You should also be highly organized with strong time-management and prioritization skills. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to establish and maintain professional and cooperative relationships with both customers and colleagues. In this position, you will be responsible for collecting and loading waste, as well as transporting this waste in a rear load truck to a landfill and/or transfer station. Valid Class B CDL with air brake endorsement required Clean Driving Record Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws Ability to work 40-50 hours a week Willingness to submit to and pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test, and eligible motor vehicle report. Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignmentsPhysical Demands:
This a very physically demanding job with big time benefits!
