NEMT Driver SafeRide Medical Transport LLC About the Position SafeRide Medical Transport LLC is seeking dependable, compassionate, and professional Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Drivers to join our team. Our drivers play an essential role in helping members of our community safely access medical appointments, dialysis, therapy, hospital services, and other healthcare-related destinations. As an NEMT Driver, you will represent SafeRide Medical Transport every time you interact with a passenger, healthcare facility, or member of the public. We are looking for individuals who take pride in providing safe, reliable, punctual, and respectful transportation while treating every passenger with dignity and compassion. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys driving, helping people, working independently, and being part of a team dedicated to quality patient transportation. Key Responsibilities Safely transport passengers to and from medical appointments and other approved destinations while following all traffic laws and company safety policies. Arrive on time for scheduled pickups and communicate promptly with dispatch regarding delays, changes, or unexpected situations. Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle while maintaining their safety, comfort, and dignity. Properly secure passengers, wheelchairs, mobility equipment, and other approved assistive devices when required. Operate company vehicles responsibly and maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle environment. Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and promptly report mechanical, safety, or maintenance concerns. Maintain accurate trip documentation, mileage records, vehicle inspection records, and other required paperwork or electronic records. Use GPS and dispatch technology to navigate efficiently and follow assigned routes. Communicate professionally and respectfully with passengers, caregivers, healthcare facilities, dispatchers, and company management. Protect passenger privacy and maintain confidentiality of personal and medical information. Follow all company policies, training requirements, safety procedures, and applicable NEMT regulations. Report accidents, incidents, passenger concerns, vehicle issues, or other unusual circumstances to management and/or dispatch as required. Maintain a professional appearance and demonstrate courteous behavior at all times. Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For SafeRide Medical Transport is looking for drivers who are: Dependable, punctual, and responsible. Patient, compassionate, and comfortable working with individuals with medical and mobility needs. Professional and courteous in their interactions with passengers and healthcare partners. Safety-focused and committed to following company procedures. Able to work independently while communicating effectively with dispatch and management. Comfortable using smartphones, GPS navigation, and electronic dispatch systems. Physically capable of assisting passengers and handling mobility equipment safely, within the requirements of the position. Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with unexpected situations or challenging circumstances. Qualifications & Experience Valid driver's license and a safe driving record. Ability to meet SafeRide Medical Transport LLC driver qualification requirements. Ability to successfully complete required background checks, driving record checks, drug screening, and other company or regulatory requirements, as applicable. Ability to complete required NEMT, safety, passenger assistance, and company training. Previous experience in NEMT, paratransit, medical transportation, senior transportation, passenger transportation, delivery, shuttle services, or a related field is preferred but not required . Experience assisting individuals with mobility limitations is a plus. Familiarity with GPS navigation and local roads is preferred. CPR/First Aid, defensive driving, wheelchair securement, or other relevant certifications are a plus. Training will be provided to qualified candidates who demonstrate the reliability, professionalism, and commitment to passenger safety that SafeRide Medical Transport expects from its drivers. Drivers must:

Prioritize passenger safety on every trip. Treat every passenger with dignity, courtesy, and respect. Maintain appropriate boundaries and professional conduct. Follow assigned schedules and communicate with dispatch when circumstances affect a trip. Keep vehicles clean and presentable. Never operate a vehicle while impaired, distracted, or otherwise unable to drive safely. Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and SafeRide Medical Transport policies.
