Waste Connections is hiring a Local CDL Route Driver to safely collect and transport non-hazardous solid waste and recyclables on assigned routes. In this essential, year-round role, you'll operate late-model trucks, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate local CDL truck on established residential and commercial routes Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and complete required logs Load, transport, and unload solid waste and recyclables to designated facilities Follow all DOT, company safety, and environmental regulations Provide professional, courteous service to customers and the community Report equipment issues, route hazards, and incidents promptly Work closely with dispatch and teammates to meet route schedules Maintain clean, organized vehicle and proper use of PPE Required Skills CDL Class A or B truck driving DOT regulations and compliance Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection Safe operation of hydraulic and lifting systems Route navigation and time management Basic vehicle troubleshooting and reporting Use of electronic logs or route tablets Customer service for residential and commercial accounts Knowledge of waste and recycling handling procedures PPE and safety protocol adherence
