This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. As a key player in our logistics network, you'll ensure timely delivery of goods across diverse routes while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate Class A commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload freight with precision, following proper manual handling techniques and cargo securing procedures. Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient routing and timely deliveries while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in accordance with hazardous materials regulations, ensuring safety at all times. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, cargo documentation, and delivery records in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before operating the truck. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery schedules and address any route or cargo concerns promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving with Class A licenses. Strong knowledge of trucking operations involving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and automobile transportation. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning across OTR routes. Expertise in load & unload procedures, truck loading/unloading techniques, and logistics cargo handling. Understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to truck driving. Ability to handle manual transmission trucks confidently while adhering to safety standards. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, manual handling skills for freight management, and the ability to manage hazardous or dangerous goods responsibly.
