Job Description

Thayer Distribution is a family-owned and operated candy & snack food distribution company that has been delighting it's wholesale customers for over 40 years. We foster long-lasting relationships with our clients across 25 states and counting. What you'll do as a company driver: Deliver palletized candy and snack food to the same customers on a regular weekly/biweekly basis. Pick up our product from major manufactures and suppliers. Get paid the same hourly rate for wait times, delivering, driving, loading/unloading.
Dedicated routes:
Mix of Local & Regional Routes to everywhere east of the Mississippi River, Maine to Georgia to Michigan to Tennessee and everywhere in between. Our drivers are not just delivery personnel; they are the face of Thayer Distribution and play a pivotal role in representing our brand. Hourly Rates starting between $29.00 and $33.00 per hour depending on experience. A great work environment where you're not just a number. Assigned Air-Conditioned Day Cabs (2022 or newer) Electronic Logging Device and Camera system. 48' to 53" trailers with lift gates Assigned Electric Pallet Jack Provided Palletized Orders. No picking from the truck. Some hand unloading. Work Monday through Friday - Home Weekends and Most Days - Occasional Saturdays for training and unforeseen events. We're different! Our drivers do a MIX of Local (out and back same day) & Regional (1 to 2 nights out) hauls . Our Work schedule is 5 days a week (Monday through Friday). Our Longest Route is currently 2 overnights. Back at the end of your run. Pick-ups scheduled. No waiting for a back haul. No Sleeper Cabs - Company paid Hotel (Holiday Inn-Comparable) stay for overnights Meal reimbursement up to $20.00 for each overnight stay. Recognized service leader in the industry. Company Driver - Same hourly rate, driving full, empty, training, etc. Paid training Overtime (time and a half) over 40. Average 45-60 hours a week. No Cap on OT. Responsibilities and Duties Regular Reliable Attendance. Present a Professional and Customer Friendly attitude. Deliver Wholesale Candy and Snack Food products to our customers. Pick up orders from manufactures and suppliers. Safely operate the motor vehicle and be compliant with all applicable state and federal laws, DOT and FMCSA regulations. Qualifications and Skills Valid Class A CDL required 2 Years' experience required. Must be Trained and Authorized to operate manual 10-speed. Clean MVR preferred.
