This role has a strong emphasis on clamp truck operation and requires significant time on the warehouse floor. Recent hands-on clamp truck experience is required. Candidates must be able to safely and proficiently demonstrate clamp truck operation and load-handling techniques. Job Responsibilities Conduct new-hire, refresher, and remedial forklift training, including classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, and operator evaluations. Train and evaluate employees on clamp trucks , including proper clamping pressure, load positioning, stacking, traveling, and product damage prevention. Train employees on other powered industrial trucks used at the facility. Evaluate operator competency before recommending authorization to operate equipment. Coach employees on safe equipment operation, load handling, pedestrian awareness, dock/trailer safety, traffic rules, and pre-shift inspections. Conduct routine floor observations and immediately correct unsafe behaviors. Maintain accurate training, evaluation, and operator qualification records. Coordinate required training and development with Operations leadership. Assist with investigations involving equipment incidents, near misses, rack damage, product damage, or equipment misuse. Reinforce IDC SOPs, customer requirements, standardized work, and safety policies. Support new-hire orientation, safety meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives. Serve as a visible example of IDC's safety standards. Minimum Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 3 years of recent powered industrial truck experience in a warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing, or 3PL environment. Clamp truck operating experience is required. Must be able to safely and proficiently operate a clamp truck. Ability to operate multiple types of powered industrial trucks. Previous experience training, coaching, or evaluating forklift operators strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices and powered industrial truck requirements. Strong communication, coaching, and organizational skills. Ability to read and train employees on SOPs, work instructions, and safety procedures. Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic training records Forklift trainer, warehouse trainer, lead, or supervisor experience. Train-the-Trainer or powered industrial truck instructor certification. High-volume distribution or 3PL experience. Familiarity with OSHA powered industrial truck requirements. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus. Skills/Abilities 100% completion of required operator training and evaluations. Timely completion of refresher and remedial training. Accurate training documentation. Reduction in equipment incidents, near misses, rack damage, and product damage. Consistent compliance with IDC safety standards and warehouse SOPs. Effective onboarding and development of forklift operators. Must work 100% onsite at the Bath, PA warehouse. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and repeatedly mount/dismount powered industrial trucks. Ability to work safely around moving equipment, docks, trailers, racking, and active warehouse operations. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required.
