Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver and pick up tractor-trailers containing wooden pallets within certain miles.
- Expected to make a certain number of deliveries.
- Expected to work 50+ hours/week.
- Will be driving automatic trucks; 53' dry vans and/or flatbeds, depending on the location.
- Complete paperwork at customer site verifying delivery and retrieval of pallets.
- Inspect truck for defects before and after trips.
- Submit reports after trips indicating truck conditions.
- Maintain driver log through ELD according to
U.S. DOT
(FMSCA) regulations in locations where required. Apply now!Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 23 years of age.
- Must Possess a valid Class A CDL license to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
- Must pass a DOT Physical from a nationally registered DOT approved physician.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-year CDL-A driving experience within past 3 years.
- Ability to maneuver vehicle in difficult situations such as narrow passageways.
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50-75 pound and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot and stand for entire shift of varying lengths in time.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be worn (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes).
