Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver and take on an energetic role that keeps our operations moving smoothly! In this vital position, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, delivering goods to various locations, and ensuring timely, accurate load and unload processes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving combined with a proactive attitude will help us meet customer expectations and maintain high standards of safety and efficiency. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, on over-the-road (OTR) routes and local delivery routes. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo while adhering to safety protocols. Navigate using GPS systems to follow optimized delivery routes, maintaining punctuality and efficiency. Comply with all FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), hazardous materials regulations, and hazardous goods handling procedures. Transport automobile parts, freight, or hazardous materials such as dangerous goods or tanker loads with precision and care. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards. Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving with manual transmission vehicles. Knowledge of truck loading and unloading techniques, including refrigerated trailer, and handling. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazard communication standards, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods. Ability to manually handle cargo safely while following proper lifting techniques. Experience in logistics cargo handling for freight transportation across various routes. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes preferred.
