You will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and providing exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules. Transport a variety of cargo Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues, load security, and compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT regulations. Collaborate with logistics teams to coordinate route planning, cargo handling, and timely deliveries while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery execution. Experience in manual transmission driving is preferred; knowledge of manual handling techniques is essential for safe cargo loading/unloading. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations related to hours of service, vehicle maintenance, hazardous materials handling, and safety standards. Prior delivery driving experience involving freight transportation across regional or over-the-road routes preferred. Ability to handle logistics cargo handling tasks safely using equipment like forklifts when necessary.
