Job Description
Job Overview TH Port-A-John, LLC is seeking dependable, safety-conscious Class A or B Tanker Drivers for our water-hauling operations. Our strongest current need is for drivers who can cover night shifts and weekends in the Mansfield area. Drivers operate tanker trucks, tractor-trailers and other assigned commercial vehicles. This position requires safe equipment operation, reliable route management, accurate documentation and clear communication with dispatchers and customers.

Ability to earn $100,000+ Paid onboarding and training Time-and-a-half for hours worked over 40 Overtime generally available weekly Typical five-days-on, two-days-off schedule Night-only and weekend-only arrangements may be considered Medical, vision and dental benefits after 90 days THP pays 75% of the employee portion of medical, vision and dental coverage Simple IRA with 3% company match $50,000 company-paid life insurance $250 FR clothing or boot reimbursement Paid vacation after one year, with additional weeks at five-year service milestones 24-hour on-site dispatch support Current technology and tablets Maintained equipment On-site mechanics in Mansfield and La Jose Responsibilities Safely operate Class A or B tanker trucks, tractor-trailers and other assigned commercial vehicles Transport water along assigned routes while following traffic laws, safety regulations and company policies Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns Maintain accurate hours-of-service logs, delivery records and route documentation Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding schedules, delays and route issues Follow tanker-specific safety procedures and applicable hazardous-material protocols Safely load and unload water in varying weather conditions Take responsibility for the proper care and operation of assigned equipment Qualifications Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License Tanker endorsement Current DOT medical card Comfortable and qualified to operate manual-transmission commercial vehicles Relevant commercial-driving experience Tanker, water-hauling, vacuum-truck, freight-delivery or route-driving experience is preferred Strong navigation and route-planning ability Reliable communication and problem-solving skills Safety-conscious work habits and respect for equipment Ability to work the schedule selected during the application process Willingness to complete required driving-record, employment-history and reference checks Schedule Day shifts generally begin between midnight and 5:00 a.m. Night shifts generally begin between noon and 5:00 p.m. Shifts typically run approximately 12 hours. Night-shift and weekend availability is currently the strongest need. The typical schedule is five days on and two days off. Smaller night-only or weekend-only arrangements may be considered when operationally useful. Equipment and Location Arrangements Truck take-home or shop-drop arrangements depend on the driver's location, assignment and equipment availability. Some slip seating may be required. THP does not guarantee a permanently assigned truck or home-daily arrangement. Qualified distance candidates may be eligible for company-paid hotel accommodations and a nightly per diem.
