Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL B Driver to join our team and support our general freight management operations. In this role, you will operate various types of commercial trucks, including flatbeds with a Moffitt to efficiently collect and transport waste materials. Your primary focus will be on safe driving, proper load handling, and providing excellent customer service to our clients. This is an outdoor position that offers the opportunity to contribute to community cleanliness while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL B commercial trucks such as flatbeds with a Moffitt in accordance with DOT and state transportation regulations Load and unload freight using appropriate mechanical equipment like flatbeds with a Moffitt Drive route schedules efficiently while maintaining compliance with traffic laws and safety protocols Perform routine vehicle inspections, including checking air brakes, lights, tires, and mechanical components to ensure optimal operation Maintain accurate records of daily routes, loads, and disposal activities in compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable Interact professionally with customers during pickups and drop-offs, providing excellent customer service and addressing any concerns promptly Follow safety procedures diligently during all aspects of driving, loading, unloading, and outdoor work activities Requirements Valid CDL B license with necessary endorsements for air brake operation and hazardous materials regulations if applicable Proven experience driving commercial trucks such as garbage trucks or roll-off trucks with manual transmission experience preferred Mechanical knowledge to perform basic truck inspections and troubleshoot minor issues Knowledge of traffic laws, safety protocols, and solid waste management procedures Ability to lift heavy loads repeatedly and perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions Strong understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws governing commercial vehicle operation Excellent defensive driving skills combined with a commitment to safety protocol adherence Previous delivery driver experience or route driving background is highly desirable Join us in making a difference by ensuring efficient waste collection while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.
