Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, on over-the-road (OTR) routes within designated regional areas Transport freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (Hazmat), or other specialized cargo using appropriate handling techniques and equipment Utilize GPS navigation systems to plan efficient routes, ensuring timely deliveries while complying with DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Load and unload freight with proper manual handling procedures, ensuring cargo safety and security during transit and at delivery points Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and cargo to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations when applicable Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Experience Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record; experience driving tractor-trailers preferred Proven delivery driver experience with knowledge of route driving and freight handling Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or hazardous materials transportation is a plus Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazard communication standards, and logistics cargo handling procedures Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient delivery schedules Ability to manually load/unload cargo safely while adhering to safety protocols for dangerous goods or hazardous materials Embark on a career path that energizes your passion for driving while making a tangible impact through reliable freight delivery.
