Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating commercial trucks to transport freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Your expertise in handling different types of cargo, including specialty loads like flatbeds, rollbacks and covered trailers, will be essential to our success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills on over-the-road (OTR) routes while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles, including covered trailers, flatbeds, and rollbacks, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Plan and navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure efficient delivery schedules across long-distance OTR routes. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit. Transport various types of freight, including miscellaneous metals and equipment. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; report any concerns promptly. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo documentation in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or unforeseen delays to ensure seamless logistics operations. Experience Proven experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid Class A CDL license. Demonstrated ability to operate different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, rollbacks, or landoll trailers. Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for long-distance OTR driving routes. Prior experience in driving flatbeds and strapping loads down safely . Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations is highly desirable. Experience in truck loading/unloading processes and manual handling techniques for logistics cargo handling. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving and freight transportation. Pay:
$26.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 60.0 per week
