Starting at $340.00 per day, based on experience
Position Summary:
The Front Load Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a front-load refuse truck to service commercial customers. This includes the collection, transportation, and disposal of solid waste, as well as the maintenance of recycling containers, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate front-load trucks to service commercial routes as assigned. Pick up and empty waste or recycling containers in accordance with the route schedule. Inspect truck daily to ensure proper equipment operation and complete required pre- and post-trip inspections. Ensure containers are returned to proper location with lids closed and surrounding area clean. Communicate with dispatch or route supervisors regarding any issues (blocked containers, unsafe conditions, etc.). Follow all company, local, state, and federal safety policies and regulations. Report mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately. Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the truck. Provide courteous and respectful customer service at all times.
Qualifications:
Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Class B (Class A preferred) Clean driving record with the ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen Minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience preferred (waste industry a plus) Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Work Environment:
Routinely exposed to outdoor weather, dust, noise, and refuse odors. Frequent operation of hydraulic controls and heavy machinery. Early morning shifts and occasional overtime required. Why Join Us?
