Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers, on long-distance routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) in accordance with hazardous materials regulations and dangerous goods handling protocols Use GPS navigation systems to plan and follow optimal routes for timely deliveries across diverse locations Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo and hazardous goods Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in accordance with DOT regulations Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery schedules, and any issues encountered during transit Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License Class A with HAZMAT endorsement and necessary endorsements for tanker or flatbed operations Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance standards Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized freight equipment Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading and unloading procedures Proficiency with GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation Strong understanding of truck loading/unloading procedures and safety protocols for dangerous goods Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and adherence to all traffic laws Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise makes a real impact!
