Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers across various routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving, to deliver freight efficiently and securely. Your expertise will ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations while providing exceptional service to our clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced logistics environment where safety, reliability, and professionalism are paramount. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks with a CDL A license, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules on time. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo and hazardous materials when applicable. Transport a variety of freight such as refrigerated goods, hazardous materials, automobiles, or other specialized cargo across long-distance routes. Comply with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards during all operations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in accordance with regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times, route changes, or issues encountered during transit. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license. Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and handle manual loading/unloading tasks. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or specialized freight transportation is preferred. Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation systems for efficient delivery routes across OTR routes. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and hazard awareness during long-distance travel. Familiarity with logistics cargo handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and dangerous goods regulations. Ability to adhere strictly to DOT hours-of-service rules while maintaining high levels of professionalism and punctuality.
