Job Description
Safety Trainer/Safety Consultant (Mining - Construction - General Industry) Company is seeking a motivated safety professional to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with mining experience who enjoys working with people, teaching, and helping companies improve workplace safety. The successful candidate must possess a strong work ethic, be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision, and understand the importance of providing exceptional customer service. Essential Responsibilities Conduct MSHA New Miner, Experienced Miner, Annual Refresher, and Supervisor Training. Assist mining, construction, and general industry clients in maintaining regulatory compliance. Develop and implement safety programs, policies, and training materials. Conduct workplace safety inspections and audits. Identify workplace hazards and recommend practical corrective actions. Promote safe work practices through employee coaching and hands-on training. Deliver classroom and field-based training in compliance with federal and state regulations. Utilize Microsoft Office and presentation software to prepare training materials and reports. Assist in developing new training programs and improving existing training methods. Travel to client locations throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding states using a company vehicle. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of surface and/or underground mining experience required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. High school diploma or GED. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and professionally with clients. Previous safety training or instructor experience preferred but not required. OSHA Outreach Trainer or other safety certifications are a plus. MSHA Instructor certification is preferred but not required. Company is willing to train and mentor the right candidate to obtain MSHA Instructor qualifications/certifications. What We Offer Competitive salary (based on experience)
