Job Overview We at Robert E. Little, Inc. John Deere Dealerships of Southeastern PA are seeking a part-time motivated and dependable Truck Driver for Deliveries to join our dynamic logistics team at our Little's of Hatboro location! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations. Your expertise in truck driving and cargo handling will drive our operations forward with energy and precision. Duties Operate and maintain <26,000 GVW rollback truck across designated routes, adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and PA DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Safely load, secure, unload, and inspect cargo utilizing manual handling techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Navigate using GPS systems to optimize local routes, ensuring punctual deliveries while maintaining safety standards, and account for time and distance with routes travelled. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck Transport cargo to and from customers and/or between dealership facilities efficiently while following proper logistics cargo handling procedures to prevent damage or accidents. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records for all trips. Maintain PA DOT Medical Card and adhere to company policies. Communicate effectively with Service Department Manager to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Be available alternating Saturdays based on business needs. May need to instruct customers on basic equipment operating procedures. Work independently without constant supervision. Skills Experience in rollback truck driving with an understanding of route driving and freight delivery processes preferred. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and PA DOT requirements and safety protocols related to compliant transportation. Skilled in GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely during load & unload operations using appropriate equipment like forklifts when applicable. Possess a clean driving record, and maintain a valid PA DOT Medical Card; experience with rollback trucks preferred. Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures to ensure safe loading/unloading practices. Maintain a positive attitude and interact well with customers and co-workers. Must be able to life 75-100 pounds; must be able to push and pull lawn & garden equipment weighing up to 400 pounds. Join us at Robert E. Little, Inc.
