This position requires the operation of specialized equipment, including sewer jet trucks, CCTV inspection vehicles, dump trucks, backhoes, and other Public Works equipment. The position also involves manual labor, emergency response work, snow and ice operations, and participation in an on-call rotation. Essential Functions Operate sewer jet trucks, CCTV inspection equipment, and related machinery used to inspect, clean, maintain, and repair sanitary and storm sewer systems. Conduct sewer line inspections and identify maintenance, repair, and operational issues within the Township's wastewater/sanitary and stormwater systems. Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning of sanitary and storm sewer infrastructure. Operate CDL-required vehicles and public works equipment, including dump trucks, backhoes, boom mowers, and other equipment as assigned. Assist with sewer maintenance and repair activities, including cleaning catch basins, drainage structures, and sewer lines. Participate in snow and ice control operations, including plowing, salting, and emergency winter response. Respond to sewer emergencies, PA One Call notifications, storm events, and other Public Works emergencies, including after-hours callouts. Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency sewer-related incidents and PA One Call mark-out requests. Attend required safety meetings, certifications, and training programs, including annual PA One Call training. Perform overtime, weekend, holiday, and emergency work as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. One (1) to two (2) years of experience operating CCTV sewer inspection equipment, sewer maintenance equipment, or related Public Works equipment. Valid CDL Class A License and ability to maintain all required licenses and certifications throughout employment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of sewer system maintenance, inspections, and repair practices. Knowledge of public works equipment operation and basic mechanical maintenance. Ability to safely operate jet trucks, CCTV inspection vehicles, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment. Ability to work in confined spaces and varying weather conditions. Ability to perform strenuous physical labor. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
