Description Job description: Overview HET Contracting Corporation is an established construction company seeking experienced Heavy Haul Low Boy Class A CDL Driver. This experienced driver is responsible for heavy haul of equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
- Experience in hauling heavy equipment to include bulldozer, excavator, front-end loader, skid steer, and other equipment/attachments.
- Must possess a valid Class A CDL with a good driving record
- Capable of understanding and following directions
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions performing construction related tasks.
- Display strong adherence to safety policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
- Ensures that all activities are carried out in a safe, effective, professional, and efficient manner to protect employees and the assets.
- Upon arrival at job site, participates in discussions related to the days' work plan in to ensure safety/efficiency in carrying out daily work assignment
- Operates truck in conformance with standard operational policies/procedures while following all safety rules/regulations
- Must be able to travel in the region frequently, with some out-of-town jobs that require multiple nights on the road
- Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspection of trucks and trailers in accordance with company policy and D.O.T. regulations
- Drives tractor-trailer to/from job sites, inspects loads, and machinery being transported
- Verifies transportation permits to ensure that specifications for overweight and oversize loads/equipment are accurate
- Responsible for loading, unloading and safe transportation of equipment and/or materials to/from job site
