Lumber & Logging Position Summary We are looking for a reliable, hardworking CDL Truck Driver to join our team in the lumber and logging industry. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in their work, can work independently, and understands the importance of getting the job done safely and efficiently. This position may involve as many hours as needed based on workload and company needs , so flexibility and a strong work ethic are important. Responsibilities Safely operate company trucks and equipment in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. Transport logs, lumber, materials, equipment, and other loads as assigned. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Properly secure and transport loads. Complete required delivery tickets, logs, and other paperwork accurately. Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, customers, and other drivers. Assist with loading, unloading, and securing materials when necessary. Keep truck and equipment clean and in good operating condition. Follow all company safety policies and DOT regulations. Work independently and manage time effectively. Be willing to work additional hours when needed to meet operational demands. Perform other duties related to trucking and lumber/logging operations as assigned. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Must have a clean and acceptable driving record. Must meet all applicable DOT requirements. Previous experience with logging, lumber, hauling, construction, or heavy equipment is preferred. Must be dependable and have a strong attendance record. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be a self-starter who is willing to stay productive and get the job done. Ability to safely operate and inspect heavy trucks and equipment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Must be willing to work flexible hours based on workload and company needs.
