Job Description

Kreamer Feed is looking to hire a 2nd shift CDL driver. The CDL Driver will safely and efficiently move grains around the mill, jockey trailers, and deliver finished goods to our customers in a timely manner and professional manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Operates a semitruck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws. Transports loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations. Proficiently understands and uses Electronic Logging Device (ELD). Performs daily maintenance checks by conducting pretrip and posttrip inspections of truck and reports malfunctions to management. Assists in always maintaining a neat and clean workplace at the mill. Handles housekeeping of the trucks both inside and outside. Deftly maneuvers truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas. Ensures delivery of appropriate merchandise in accordance with customer invoices. Understands, interprets, attends trainings, and ensures adherence to applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Assists with loading of or loads and unloads goods and materials, using specialized equipment when warranted; returns all equipment to designated area. Interacts with customers to provide support and information. Maintains signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork; delivers documentation to the Transportation Manager. Facilitates routine service on trucks, which may include checking oil, water, gasoline, and air, reports maintenance malfunctions to Transportation Manager.
