Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver with Class A and B endorsements to join our dynamic transportation team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, delivering freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. Your expertise in navigating over-the-road (OTR) driving routes, managing hazardous materials, and adhering to all safety regulations will ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks with Class A or B licenses, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, ensuring proper handling of logistics cargo. Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules efficiently. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and hazardous materials regulations. Deliver freight to various locations while maintaining safety standards and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Manage automobile transportation tasks, including securing vehicles for transport when necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records for each trip. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delays, or issues encountered during transit. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL Class A or B license. Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently. Experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbed trucks, tankers, or hazardous materials transportation preferred. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, and hazardous goods handling procedures. Previous delivery driving experience involving freight management and route driving across long distances (OTR routes). Ability to handle manual handling tasks related to truck loading/unloading and cargo securing. Strong understanding of safety protocols related to truck driving, load management, and hazardous materials regulations.
