Job Description

As a CDL Driver at PODS, you'll play a key role in safely delivering, picking up, and relocating our portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. You'll operate CDL vehicles and PODS lifting equipment, perform thorough safety and DOT inspections, and ensure containers are properly secured for transport. In this customer-facing role, you represent PODS at each stop-providing friendly, reliable service, problem-solving on-site issues, and communicating clearly with dispatch. You'll work independently in the field while being part of a supportive, nationwide team that values safety, teamwork, and accountability. This position offers hands-on experience in transportation and logistics, with opportunities to grow your skills and advance within a company transforming the moving and storage industry. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL vehicle to deliver, pick up, and relocate PODS containers for residential and commercial customers Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and follow all DOT, safety, and company policies Secure, load, and unload containers using PODS equipment and safe material handling practices Provide professional, customer-first service at each stop, addressing questions and resolving basic issues on-site Maintain accurate electronic or paper logs, delivery documentation, and condition reports Communicate with dispatch and team members to adjust routes, manage delays, and meet daily schedules Help maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs promptly Support a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability across all field operations Required Skills CDL driving (Class A or B) Defensive driving and DOT compliance Local route navigation and GPS use Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance Safe loading/unloading of containers Use of lift systems and material handling equipment Time management and route planning Customer service and communication Accurate completion of logs and delivery documents Basic problem-solving in the field
