Job Description

RIST Transport, a growing LTL carrier, is looking for experienced truck drivers to serve our overnight Linehaul department in a safe and timely manner. These runs are for our Mount Joy, PA. Terminal to Terminal drop and hook runs.

•New Hires with 5+ years of documented CDL A experience and current Hazmat endorsement will start at $0.75/mile to $0.755 after 90 days of employment

•After 6 months, eligible for an additional $9000 a year for safe driving! Responsibilities Transport company trailers to and from terminal to terminal in overnight hours. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules. Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills Proven work experience as a truck driver, class A CDL, tanker, HazMat required. Hands on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, PeopleNet systems) Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations No recent moving or driving violations Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid truck driving license
