Job Description

PODS is hiring a Local CDL Driver to safely deliver and pick up our portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. In this field-based role, you'll operate CDL vehicles on local routes, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure secure loading and unloading. You'll be the face of PODS, providing friendly, reliable service while following all DOT and company safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate CDL vehicle to deliver and pick up PODS containers on local routes Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and follow DOT regulations Secure, load, and unload containers using proper safety procedures and equipment Provide courteous, professional customer service at each stop Follow assigned routes and schedules while meeting on-time delivery goals Complete required logs, manifests, and electronic documentation accurately Report vehicle issues, incidents, and safety concerns promptly Work collaboratively with dispatch, warehouse, and operations teams Required Skills CDL driving and vehicle operation Local route navigation and GPS use Safe loading, unloading, and securing loads DOT and FMCSA compliance knowledge Defensive driving and accident avoidance Basic vehicle inspection and maintenance Customer service and communication Time management and route planning Paperwork and electronic log completion Use of liftgates, dollies, and handling equipment
